Executive Board

  • Oversee and lead the Upper Arlington Orchestra Parent Association (UAOPA) to achieve its objectives.
  • Preside over meetings, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Represent the UAOPA in school and community events.
  • Collaborate with other officers and committees to ensure effective communication and execution of initiatives.
  • Assist the president in their duties and assume responsibilities in their absence.
  • Prepare to transition to the role of president in the future.
  • Collaborate with committees and officers to support UAOPA initiatives.
  • Attend meetings, contribute to decision-making, and actively engage in discussions.
  • Manage the UAOPA’s financial affairs, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular updates to the executive board.
  • Collaborate with committees on financial matters related to events and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial requirements, policies, and guidelines.
  • Essentially a training experience with the intention of moving to Treasurer the following year.
  • Record minutes and maintain records of UAOPA meetings.
  • Handle correspondence and communication on behalf of the UAOPA.
  • Distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and relevant information to members.
  • Assist with maintaining the UAOPA’s historical documents and records.
  • Serve as a liaisons between the UAOPA and middle school parents.
  • Attend UAOPA meetings and provide insights and updates from the middle school community.
  • Facilitate communication between middle school families and the UAOPA.
  • Assist with organizing middle school-focused events and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage volunteer recruitment and assignments.
  • Work closely with committees to identify volunteer needs for various events and activities.
  • Maintain a volunteer database and communicate volunteer opportunities to members.
  • Express appreciation and recognition to volunteers for their contributions.
  • Essentially a training experience with the intention of moving to Volunteer Coordinator the following year.
  • For 2024-25 only, if suitably skilled, create new web presence for the UAOPA
  • Ongoing: Implement website changes/additions requested by the UAOPA Board and Directors.
